What can I expect for the free phone consultation?
This free phone call runs for 10-15 minutes, but we set aside a half an hour in case it runs over. You can choose a video call if you would like to be on the call with any family members, but typically it is a phone call. This gives us a chance to see if you are a good candidate as a patient for functional neurology, and you a chance to ask any questions. If we think something else may be more pertinent to your care at the time, we will refer you to the right professional and work to co-manage your health journey.
What do I do if I want to book an exam?
We book exams after an initial phone consultation only through our staff. If you are a new patient, please give our office a call at 614-706-2093 or submit an online inquiry form via our website to book.
What is the cost for care?
We offer a number of different care options based on each patient’s individual needs so a more accurate price estimate in accordance with our appointment fees will be able to be given during the phone consultation.
Do you require a deposit for exams?
For exam bookings, we require a $50 non-refundable deposit and a card on file. The $50 will be applied to the exam payment and is not an additional fee.

Do you have a cancellation policy?
We have a 24 hour cancellation policy for all patient appointments and a 48 hour exam cancellation policy.
What should I do to prepare for the 3- hour neurological exam?
Wear comfortable clothing since the process is 3 hours long, and no eye makeup or strong perfumes/scents. Feel free to bring something to drink/snacks.
Will I need a ride for the 3-hour neurological exam?
Typically, if you’re able to drive here, you’ll be able to drive home. You may feel more eye fatigue or tiredness after our testing, so please plan for a ride if you think you may need it.
Are there any intake forms I need to complete?
Yes, there are forms for you to complete once the initial exam is booked. They typically take 30-60 min to complete. Please set aside the time to complete them at least 72 hours before your scheduled exam.
What does functional neurological care look like?
It is typically an initial exam, followed by an individualized treatment plan based on the severity and nature of the patient’s case, deciding the pace and frequency for appointments or neuro rehab sessions, and finally a re-exam. After this point, we work individually with our patients to bridge their gap to health and decide how many sessions are needed moving forward. We incorporate appropriate at-home exercises, supplements and diet/environmental changes.

Can you order labs/scans/CT/MRI/xrays?
Yes, we can order them, although we do not do the testing in our clinic.
Do you treat _________?
We treat a lot of complex neurological conditions which is why we offer a free phone consultation. If you are not sure, please give us a call and we would be happy to help set that up for you!
Do you take ________ insurance?
We are not in network with insurance and are a self-pay based clinic, but we offer superbills to our patients for reimbursement. A superbill is a grouped together bill/list of all the appointment charges the doctor can provide you with to submit to insurance for reimbursement.
However, we do take HSA/FSA cards and other health care credit card options.
What is functional neurology?
Is it a noninvasive approach to neurological care, so we don’t use injections, scan, medications, etc.
How is functional neurology different from regular neurology?
Functional neurology is concerned with physiology and function of the brain, so that we can help patients who fall through the cracks of traditional neurology.
What degree does the doctor have?
He is trained as a chiropractor, but is board certified in neurology and has post doctoral training in neuro to diagnose and treat neurological cases which address problems that are not traditionally covered by `chiropractic.
